Hello everybody, I'm a newbie but I am a regular forum user on other sites. I am self building an extension which measures 37 square m and will be kitchen/family room/kennel/ relaxing watching massive tv if there is any money left room. My dilemma is radiators or ufh, i think ufh is the way to go but which type, electric or water (Hence general diy as its electrical and plumbing). The floor beams are in so I need a decision pdq (pretty damn quick) as I need to put the concrete in. Any information would be very much appreciated.

If you are going to install underfloor heating then it should really be a wet system. Electric is really and expensive "make do" solution where a proper wet system can't be fitted for various reasons.

Then its just a choice between underfloor or traditional rads - so presumably you are aware of the difference in heating patterns and feel within the room?

water every time..
as said, electric is ok but usually just for under tiles in the bathroom etc..
