Upstairs rads were very hot and downstairs not as hot.... so turned off all rad upstairs to see if downstairs get as hot as upstairs but they didnt get hot at all..... whats the problem here...

Position a tub under the pump then remove the big silver/brass screw from the centre with the heating turned on. Don't worry you won't get a lot of water out. This will allow you to see the shaft of the pump, if it's spinning the pump's probably OK, if it's not spinning the pump's "forked".

Be aware that with some pumps you'll get a slight bit of dripping for a while after you replace the screw - this is usually because water has collected behind the data plate on the face of the pump and is not normally a sign of a leak. You can let it out by prising the data plate away very slightly
