Radio interference

Well, this isn't strictly a DIYnot question, but there are so many helpful people on this forum, I wonder if I might be able to get an answer:

I have a Philips AJ3051 AM/FM clock radio. While listening to any FM radio station, every six minutes (I've timed it), white noise interference appears for about 20seconds. It doesn't block out the audio signal, but is very annoying. I've tried searching for answers on t'internet, but found nothing. It does not matter where (in the country) the clock radio is located, and I don't have any random electrical equipment doing anything every six minutes.

I wonder if it could be something to do with the snooze function. I would like to use some DIY knowledge to fix it!

Any ideas?

how far away is your mobile phone?

Not far at the moment, but it's the same even if my phone is out of the house. And it's not the typical bup-biddy-bup-didi, bup-biddy-bup-didi mobile phone interefence.

very strange, indeed. I too have a Philips bedside radio alarm clock and the same thing happens !!
