Hi

Does anyone know where I can get hold of some train track. I need a couple of lengths about 1.2m. It doesn't necessarily have to be full size track maybe something more industrial would do. They will be part of a garden feature, layed across a raised area of the garden which is bordered by rail sleepers.

Cheers

Cheers for the link. I did see that a few days ago but it's a bit of a trek as it's collection only, 3 Hours from Leicester where I am. I'll just keep checking eBay in case anything more local comes up. Thanks.

You might be better off seeing if they can be made up by a local metal fabricators/blacksmiths using stock welded together (rails are essentially an 'I' of metal) I would imagine that three pieces of flat welded together would look okay and the lengths are short so would not be that costly.

Remember that anything which comes up on fleabay or wherever may well be much longer than you need and cost extra to be cut down plus the cost of shipping will be substantial.

IMHO, worth checking local companies who would carry out this work.

Of course, if you wish to be a purist then by all means wait until the real stuff comes up.
