I live in a mid terrace and the front garden is surrounded by those railing type of fences. My neighbours garden has the same arrangement and the railing between our 2 gardens is fixed into the wall at the front of the house

Can this cause movement in the front wall of the house with the constant movement of the gates closing, and if so, is there a solution to this other than getting a new fence installed?

Doubt it, the wall has all the bricks above weighing down on it.
A free standing pillar I could believe, but not a house wall, unless the wall has other issues.
Photos might help.

If worried, stick a post in the ground and attach to that..
