Hi all new to the forum! I would like some advice regarding drainage on My mid 1950s semi detached property! I’ve noticed some potential damp on external bricks near a rainwater drain which was brought to my attention when I was working on that external wall inside the property and could smell a bit of a musty damp smell underneath the skirting board so presuming as a bit of moisture coming into the house but not enough to ruin the floor in the walls or to cause any mould or damp as of yet! (Internal wall is fine with no tide marks and laminate floor is still fine) I’ve had a look into what appears to be a clay pot and part of it is cracked and broken away! I’m not very good with all this stuff so we’re just appreciate some advice and guidance on how to remedy the area thank you. The image of the pot isn’t great as I can’t remove the grate.

*Also just to add shouldnit always have water sitting in it as mine doesn’t and just has black sludge at the base.
