Raising roof height

My daughter lives in a semi det bungalow, she would like to build into the roof as her and the children are outgrowing the house, the roof would have to be raised approx 1.5 m .With the new planning regs can this be done under PD.

By 'raising the roof' do you mean raising the ridge? This would change the pitch with respect to the adjacent property, and would not be allowed under (my understanding of) Class AA of the new PD rights. Here's a visual guide. We would raise the walls to retain the same pitch, there would be a step up from the adjoining bungalow.

I think the new rule only applies to houses built after 1948 and before 2016.
If any adjoining neighbour doesn't object within the prescribed period, seems like you'd be good to go.
