Hi,

I'm new to the forum so please be gentle.

I'm sorry if this has already been covered but after a quick search I can't find the info I'm looking for. Mines seems slightly different from the rest.

I have the above system which is has low pressure but when I attempt to increase the pressure water starts to spurt out one of the valves (red) not sure why.

To let you know what I have done so far, I bled the radiators and then released the green valve a quarter turn and then the red but water just spurts out the right hand side of the valve??

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or is there something I need to do before I release the valves?

I've enclosed a photo below if it helps, cheers in advance of some help.

Cheers

Stephen

Dan,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Sorry I'm a complete novice at this stuff, could you give me a bit more detail, sorry a lot more detail lol

Cheers

Stephen

A new filling loop double check valve (the one marked red) is needed.

Turn the boiler off.

Ease the pressure off the heating system using a hose, bucket, and the drain valve under the white box on the pipe entering the cylinder (directly under your green arrow).

Get the new valve ready and in the correct orientation.

Quickly swap them over.

Refill the heating system.

Check for leaks.

Turn the boiler back on.

Simples.

Should take ten 15 minutes tops.

A professional should have it done before you can make the cup of tea.

Thanks again Dan,

Looks like I might need to get a man out, wouldn't want to mess about with this stuff. Too technical for me!

Cheers

Stephen
