Range TRIBUNE He System How do I increase pressure ?

Hi there. My CH System is making lots of noise, and I noticed the pressure guage on the red expansion vessel reads a little above NIL.

I would appreciate advice on how to increase this. There are plenty of valves around, but most seem to remove water to drain.

Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Kev. I can see one of those already connected between the red expansion vessel and what looks like a main pipe. I can move the valve at one end but the valve attached to the pipe coming from the red expansion tank i just cannot turn ! any additional advice would be appreciated. and thanks again.

An argi registered fitter ! Maybe i need one, as they are all gas safe registered engineers but offer internet advice. am i right ?

depends on the make age of the loop some only have 1 valve if the other one has an hexagon nut on it dont touch it

can you post a pic of the setup

Hi again Kev. LOL re argi ! probably another way of swindling the self employed out of more money !

The valve i cannot twist is the one nearest the red tank. the other side of the valve has a black plastic cap with a cross cut into it !

ok remove the screw on the valve and get a small adjustable wrench

work it back and forth but go steady probably just sticking

turn the other valve off while you do

Thanks again kevin. i will let you know how i get on. will need to get a wrench ! although will try a pair of pliers i have. So by opening both valves, this allows water into the CH system, and therefore repressurizes the system. have i got the gist ? thanks.
