Range Tribune_replacing motorised valve..can I change Brand?

HI All

we have a near three year old persimmon house which was built with a fully dressed Tribune HE Indirect 180L tank system.

Ever since we moved in we've had issues with a noisy diverter valve and I see the ones that are fitted are RANGE branded. Since their engineers already replaced the same one twice, do you know if they can be substituted with a different brand? its so noisy when it operates going "clack clack clack" and it can be heard throughout the house. I am questioning whether it is operating correctly too given that it is so noisy!

The one you've got will be badged as range but it's a sunvic valve. Range don't do them anymore they use Danfoss. Ring Range and they'll supply you with the correct replacement. You have to buy it in 2 parts, the water section and the actuator.

Does that suggest that they've perhaps had problems with the sunvic? Its bl**dy noisy!

Personal preference is Honeywell, maybe more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
