After water board have replaced water feed to house my boiler will not light until hot water tap is turned on full, therefore shower wont work. CH working ok, what could the problem be? The boiler is an RSF 100ET

Depending on which model - which you haven't given us - I would assume a blocked inlet filter or torn diaphram.
Possible that diaphragm is stretched in diverter valve it will fail totally soon
And remember there might be two - one on the valve feeding the boiler and the one on the diverter vavle (assuming tis a Giaconni one).
