Hmm, feel a little foolish and wondering if anyone can help.

I'm having a new boiler fitted today and this measn that all the tanks and pipes for the old immersion and cold water tank are being taken out. The immersion heater is, or was wired up to the control board in the cupboard as was the thermosat and old boiler. Of course, I just turned the power off and removed all the wires with thinking that I need the rayburn cookers side still connected. There are two black wires, 1 red and an earth and a blue wire on both the cables that came from the Rayburn. I think on the cooker side, the blue one wasnt used but I cant get power to the Rayburn. I've tried connecting Earth, Live (Red) Neutral (Black and BOth Black twisted together). But nothing, no power.

Any clues where these wires should be connected?

cheers
