rcd plug?

i am currently fitting a shower pump,and the instructions state it needs to be connected to a 13amp fused spur,can i use a 13amp rcd plug in a standard socket instead
any sugs

RF Lighting is saying that if the manufacturer says it should be connected via a 13A fused spur, then that is how it should beconnected. it does not mean though that it should have a 13a fuse. The fuse rating will depend on the item itself
