I am after some advice. I have a MEM Exel fuse board, and have been asked to provide a new ring main that will supply 8 computers. Would wiring from a 30A fuse in the board through an adjacent locally mounted 32A 30mA RCD be accpetable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would be trying to design the circuit so that you don't need rcd protection if it is for lots of computers. They leak quite a bit to earth.

The maintenance engineer here RCBO'd the office floor sockets.
Needless to say that the MCB's were back after 4 hours of resetting the trip every 15 minutes

Most of our computer systems here are on RCBO protected circuits and seem to do fine, we dont exceed any more than 8 PC's per circuit.

Will you be using dual cpc sockets too, such as the MK 2746?

Yes the intention is to use dual sockets as well to comply with 543.7 of the 17th edition regs.
