RCD tripped and wont reset

Ill take a dozen 
well took it out albeit sruggled to get the stupid thing out!!
didnt reset then turned it upside down and it reset
then turned it off, then back on but wont reset this time, now won't reset at all....sxo disconnected from the board with no tails going or coming from it and it wont reset
faulty rcd??
