RCD Tripping Fault

I had a similar fault a few years back, traced the fault to a twin socket in a utility room, fitted a new one and away I went.... Few weeks later got a phone call, same problem again, so I went back, tested and found the same socket faulty again, it was only then I noticed a smell of cat pee.... Their tom cat had started to "own" the socket....

I found this purely by chance on a fault-finding job where the customer said her 30A 3036 had blown while she was on holiday. No RCD.

The cat had been peeing in this socket for many months... I had to AT RISK the installation warning her not to let the cat continue peeing on the electrical installation....

[Secure howls "LEAVE ME ALONE!" and shrinks into the corner, gibbering uncontrollably]
