First time post...

The RCD trips when both the upstairs sockets/kitchen MCB & the downstairs sockets are on.
When they are on the RCD will not turn on.
It happened a few weeks again but switched back on fine the has been happening more and more frequently until today when it wont switch on at all.

The main board is on a fine... this is a separate RCD with 3 MCBS (Cooker, Sockets, Sockets/kitchen)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Also, unplug (not just switch off) every portable appliance. Every fixed appliance, turn off at the wall isolator. Does the RCD still trip?

Now, one at a time, turn on
-the cooker and oven
-the immersion heater
-the boiler
-the outside lighting and socket
-the dishwasher
-the washing machine
-the kettle
-the PC
-the coffeemaker
-the tea urn
-the microwave
-the fishtank
-the fountain
-the jacuzzi
-the shed supply
-the hot tub.

Do any of these cause a trip?

I've taken all the plugs out of sockets & turned off the appliances via switches

Ive unplugged everything and the RCD won't switch on with the two socket circuits on

I had the cooker circuit on but even that just trips the RCD after a minute or two now... not the MCB aren't tripping
