I wish to replace this Danfoss unit with the MEROSS MTS200 Smart Thermastat. Can you please advise on how is should be wiring the unit. See available wiring port on Meross unit below :-

As you can see from the existing cable, this a 4 core cable - c/w 2 wires (Brown & Grey) are connected to the existing unit , 1 spare (Black) unconnected and an Earth Wire (Green / Yellow).

Can you please advise how i should be wiring this new unit with my existing available cable / wires. Your help and advice would be greatly appreciated .

Regards,

Need to find out.
1) If the control is low voltage (230 volts AC) or extra low voltage.
2) If low voltage, then if the unconnected wire is a neutral.
The Meross thermostat needs 230 volts to power it, the old Danfoss RNT230 did not, so you need to find out if easy to get that 230 volts supply.

What you are looking at, is where to spend the money, a battery powered thermostat ae235.jpgis a direct replacement. But to connect to a router, a thermostat needs a lot of power, so most are mains powered, the other option is to use a hub, which uses less power to connect to the thermostat, so pay out for wiring changes, or pay out for a thermostat that suits the system you have.

The black wire, may be connected to neutral, and you may have a low voltage supply to the existing thermostat, but can't work that out from pictures.

As above, Mehross needs a permanent L and N, you could opt for opentherm which I think the Logic 2 supports.
