I'm currently looking into doing a cheap spruce up of our kitchen.
The units/doors are fine, just after a new look & new worktops/sink.
About 5 years ago I sprayed the wood/melamine shaker style doors with Dulux Cupboard paint (barley twist)
This has lasted pretty well, but the mrs wants them to be painted in F&B Cornforth White.
Would it now be ok to lightly sand & paint the F&B eggshell paint straight onto the doors? or will I still need a primer/undercoat to make the paint 'stick'?
The other thing is I will be painting the end panels which I never did the last time as they're a light wood effect melamine, what would be the correct way to prepare & paint these?
I've looked at the Zinsser primer/sealer which sounds good, will I just need that (123 or BIN) followed by the top coat?
Thanks for any advice on this.. I don't want to go mad spending on lots of expensive paints etc.. but equally want it to last at least as long as the dulux paint (which is self undercoating...)
Cheers
