Re-plastering my hall, strip walls or put up new board

Sound like quite a big undertaking for the removal of wallpaper.
But there are no rules saying you can't do it.
But rezarf before you do this what reasons are behind this drastic action?
If you think the walls are a bit tatty, it may well be a case of removing the wallpaper and just giving the boards a skim over. Giving you a nice new surface to work on and then could paint it, instead of pappering.

When I removed the T&G wood from the ceiling (downstairs hall, stair well and upstairs landing) I found above that was artex and had 3 big holes in the artex so thought a new sheet would be best for that.
The walls where pretty rough and are going to need re-wired as well to accommodate new lighting, whilst we have the access plus we are re-decorating, also a part of the wall next to stair well had been added on where we would like to remove it and insert stair spindals.
If you are prepared to and the cost and time is not a problem, it could be a wise move to remove them and replace with new, especially if you are having the place rewired. As the rewire could create holes within the boards, nothing that can not be repaired mind you.
You could install your cables for the lighting system in to the existing ceiling void, causing as little damage as possible and overboard the ceiling, without having to totaly remove it, if you wanted. That would save a little time, but if time is not a concern, rip it all out and start again.

cheers dude, thats what i had planned.
1john i noticed there was no sleeping eating or crapping envolved in the schedule of works or are we not allowed to if its your job haha 
No way, sleep when your dead and anything else is just a waste of time lol.
On a serious note I have gone to a house to rewire the upstairs socket circuit and relocate every radiator after it had been replastered, the pipework was microbore too and was to be chased into the walls so the most could be hiden behind the skirting board. Still my filling and sanding done good in the end and after decoration you would never have known.

Oh well, went for it and ripped down all the old plasterboard walls and glad i did as it opened up some new ideas.
Going to cost me £150 to get all the plasterboard put back up.
Thinking of removing a wall to fit a banister at the top of the stairs.
