Can anyone advise me please, I have just moved into a flat that has a couple of fire doors fitted. They have a mahogany colour finish but previous occupants have splashed paint on parts of them and they could do with cleaning/freshening up. Can you get special fire resistant varnish ?, if so from where and would it be a case of rubbing the doors down to get rid of the paint and then recoating them.
