No self-respecting supplier supplies ready-made windows. Well the bigger commercial firms will state standard sizes but in reality they would be supplied to fit the openings. You need to try to cast aside the belief that will be paying extra for a ‘made to measure’ window, assuming that was the direction you were coming from.

That's useful advice- my main concern is the length of time to installation from made-to measure.... I've been quoted 18 weeks! /Can you recommend any good companies? I'm in London.
Out of interest what would you say a fair quote would be for a double-glazed casement window in hardwood, about 1400wx1200h? Prices vary wildly....
