My survey highlighted an issue that I hadn't spotted during my viewings of a 3-bed semi.

The single-storey extension at the rear of the house is open plan so there is a through lounge (with a wall removed) and then there is open plan into the kitchen/dining area (i.e. rear lower part of wall has been removed).

Could this cause issues? The extension has been there for over three decades.

There might still be an issue with means of escape, internal fire spread, and structural support (in the event of fire).

This may well be exempt from b/regs enforcement, but may still be an "issue" for things like actually living there or insuring the property.

Your surveyor will have to advise on what is relevant and what isn't
