I need this broken glass screen replaced, including the wooden frame where required (let's say 50% of perimeter)

Also the shed door - wooden door needs to be supplied and fitted. Door jamb seems OK so it's just a basic heavy ish door to be put up.

So on a supply and fit basis for both screen (with a perspex sheet) and door, I've been quoted £350, this is outer London.

Is this reasonable please?

You could buy a small shed for that, but if it's a substantial ledged and braced door with quality locks and fittings that has to be made to measure then ok if a little on the high side.

The screen frame will probably be repaired with an epoxy wood repair like timbabuild which is not cheap, rather than easing in new wood, but either approach will involve a fair bit of time.

Both are DIY jobs, but if you have no alternative, and you trust the tradesman, go for it, but make sure the vat, if any, is included

Blup
