I need to get a wall rebuilt that the ivy has pushed apart. This is not my game so i will need to get someone else to do it.

What do i need to get from the brickies as in a receipt for the work done.
I will get a cheque and dont want to have to pay all the tax.

Is this an insurance scam?

If so, who do I make the invoice out to

Hold on a minute you lot, nobody said it was a tax free job.I do work for a chap who looks after the maintainace on three properties.

He has asked me to sort this wall out,so if i sort it out I'll be looking to make a couple of quid for my trouble. But i dont want to be paying tax on the whole job price, thats why i asked about geting something off the brickies.

PS, dont go shouting about cash jobs on here, walls have ears,or is that PC screens now :)
