Hi,

We recently had a very overgrown patch of ground to the side of our house cleared back to the soil.

While we decide what to do with it long term could anyone advise the best method of suppressing the return of weeds please?

I am no gardening expert (obvious huh?) but most weed killers seem to act on currently growing weeds and require application to the leaf itself, what is best to apply to bare soil in order to prevent weed growth in the first place?

Thanks

I used Visqueen sheet, cheap for temporary weed break.

Anything that stops light will do as said above.
