I've got an old Gloworm Swift Flow combi boiler that is hanging on in there at about 13 yrs old!! I've noticed that recently the pressure creeps up from about 1 bar to 2 bar when the heating comes on, so I believe the Pressure Vessel needs recharging.

I last did this about 2 yrs ago. Is this a reasonable time between charges, or should it last longer than this?

Thanks, TT

Brill, thanks for that!

Just to put my mind at rest, how much pressure increase should there be as the CH kicks in? This rises about 0.3 bar now I've re-pressurised the vessel. Is that about right?

Super! Thanks a bunch.

I was told that a combi boiler would only last about 10 yrs, but this one seems to go on and on (touch wood)!!!!
