just bought 40 sq yards of reclaimed pitch pine parquet flooring, it has a thin layer of pitch on the back;i am laying these on plywood over an existing wood floor, any ideas on fixing these to the ply, i dont think wood glue or p v a will stick to the pitch ok
You're in for a lot of elbow grease, I'm afraid. Pitch is bitumen and it's bets to remove as much as possible of it otherwise no adhesive will bond with it.
After your removed the black stuff, normal parquet adhesive will do the trick
