I'm after a 2 gang light switch
Could you recommend me a light switch brand please which :-

a) Is soft to switch. i.e not much force
b) Where the two switches have a gap between them

The house has legrand switches at the moment.

Thanks.

Grabtree is good - A tad more clicky than the Legrand, but less so than the MK.

The MK switches are so budget these days IMO. Sockets and grid are fine, but the switches? Yuk.

Second that. The MK switches I fitted the other day (first time I have fitted MK in ages-customer wanted MK whereas I usually use Crabtree) reminded me of the clipsal rubbish I have seen. Personally I'd go Crabtree.

I'd disagree on Grid vs Logic switches, I've had to bin two 20A DP switches in recent weeks because the butter soft screws stripped before I'd even backed them out enough to get the cable in.

Interestingly the grid switches I've had to bin have been marked Made In UK, where as one's I've had more success with, have been made in Malaysia.

I would have thought, perhaps being too presumptuous, it would have been the other way around

I just don't like the ridiculously short terminal holes on the bog standard MK switches. You have to have the wire right on the correct length, at least with Crabtree the holes are a bit more forgiving.

Not really, they are all built to the required standard.
Yes, I assume they are, but I was wondering whether the more clunky ones might actually exceed the 'required standard' in terms of speed of contact opening, hence perhaps have a longer life if switching significant loads.

Kind Regards, John
