By your reasoning, it also grows out of ears and nose after a certain age. That also looks unsightly, and as with beards, most people have the good sense to remove it.

My (easily embarrassed) MIL asked me one year what I wanted for Chrimbo. I said a sack, back and crack waxing please. Failing that, six months subscription to Razzle magazine will do.
