Hi.

I'm wanting to fit my own alarm at home and was wondering if anyone could recommend a system?

I think what I'm after is basic enough - control panel, remote keypad, ability to call a number of my choice when the alarm goes off (my mobile probably).

I only have 4 PIR positions to begin with, and will be adding more components as and when I do up the house - eg: when I replace the front door I'll add in door contacts.

I haven't fitted an alarm before but I'm fairly technical and comfortable with home / computer / car electrics etc. and can usually follow instructions!

Oh, and one more question... I have a breaker on my consumer unit already fitted ready for a dedicated feed for the alarm, but nothing is connected to it yet. Do I need to get a Part P electrician to fit me a supply I can wire in to, or am I allowed to do this myself?

Thanks very much
