Is that second unconnected three core and earth at the switch the same as that at the light? You could have live wires flapping around

Outside lights now connected and working correctly.

I’ve no idea what the unconnected ones are. Are they unsafe?

The scond set at the light fitting presumably supply the second light. You can park the spare conductors in a three way choc bloc, just test for live first to be on the safe side.
