Reconnecting pipework for shower

I have removed the tiles to investigate a leak. It appeared to be leaking from where the red arrow is pointing.

This is close up picture of the where the arrow is pointing.

A section of pipe where the red line is, was removed and the pipe capped off.

I need to reconnect this pipework. Please can you recommend what fitting to use to reconnect the capped off pipe and a fitting for the top section.

Why don't you just solder the pipes back together?

I think you'll need to remove more from that downpipe as the end is in a state.
