Hello,
Hoping for some advice.
I have a problem with recurring cracks in the plasterboard ceiling in my converted loft.
As you can see from the pictures, the cracks are where the flat part of the ceiling starts to slope downwards inline with the dormer.
I have tried to scrimm and repair, but it has just cracked again.

I was thinking along the lines of;
1. Fit some sort of expansion joint (e.g. gyproc control joint). This is presumably beyond my skills and I would need to get someone in. Is this a big job?
2. Cover the crack with something - I was thinking a thin strip of wood to look like a fake beam.

What would you recommend to do with this? Thanks in advance for any advice,
H

The smallest coving - sealed on - you can find to minimise impact, an expansion joint might work but it is steel afaik and would involve much more disruption.
