Redring Selectronic Mixer Shower

Evening All

Can someone please help me understand (a blonde or more correctly a senior moment) why a Redring Selectronic Mixer Shower can only be used on a header tank based system? Why not a Combi or even their own (Redring) instant water heaters?

sorry should have said that Redring themsleves from my questioning.

There literature also says it can be used "on just about any plumbing system"
