In No. 1 son's house. Just bought this place and there's a load of kit he'd like to rip out.

There are two brown boxes on the outside.

This one feeds a long co-ax in the lounge presumably for the TV/ box.

There's another near the front door:

This feeds a box in the hall:

Then there are various leads and outlet plates around the house fed off the external brown boxes.

And a couple more just like those two.

Just wondering if it's OK to rip out all the internal stuff and disconnect the F Type plugs from the external boxes, leaving them intact.

No 1 son says there was an old Virgin Media box in the lounge, so I guess (might be wrong) that this lot was attached to it.

Open the outside wall box and disconnect cables.
Crimp on and f plug type screw thread on coax cable.
From there on rip it out although technically you don't own it but nobody cares.
They will care if you start cutting and shorting out causing issues.
You can find access point on edge of property on path maybe and disconnect but again you shouldn't as you don't own it.
Very often the cables are dead as disconnected as street box but that's not certain.
Id leave outside box on wall but everything else rip out.
I didn't say that though.

Virgin white box screws might be Nintendo security screws. I used to carry a set for wallpapering behind but you can use a hammer.
I wouldn't though. Or would I. Hard to tell

Thank you!

Opened the brown box near the front door and all three co-ax cables were already disconnected, including the one to the inside box. Same at the other brown box. It was sealed up with a tiewrap, but a gentle pull on the cables that were sagging out of the box and they just came out.
