We have some stone arches which were added by the previous owner.
I feel they are so ugly they should be removed but my wife and kids think they add "character".
The stone looks like gritstone and the surface is rough and has a number of gouges in the surface from previous abuse - bashed when moving furniture maybe?
My question is could the stone be refaced without taking all the stone down and reinstalling it.
Has anybody any experience of this sort of work?
