Hi,
I'v just bought a house with a 15 year old Glow Worm energysaver boiler. It has a couple of automatic air vents on the top of the boiler which I am not familiar with. I want to do some work on the CH system which requires a drain down and would like to know what steps are necessary on the refill.
I have drained/refilled my previous combi CH system numerous times so familiar with bleeding rads etc. On my previous combi boiler there was also a bleed valve inside the boiler casing which was a bit of a phaff to get to.
With this Glow Worm boiler, do I have to specifcally bleed air out of the boiler or is that the job of the two AAV's? Is it just a case of filling the system to 1 bar on the guage (assuming all rads are bled of course) or is there more to refilling that that? Will I hear air hissing out of these valves as the system fills?
Appreciate some advice.
