we need to drain the system to repair radiator pipes. we are happy doing this but are not sure with a combi boiler what we have to do to refill system safely. can anyone help. :D

Open the filling loop tap(s) a bit so water goes in until the pressure reaches 1. Bleed rads and repeat.

OK?

thanks think I get it.
we are novices so just to confirm:
1)turn stop cock back on
2)open filler valve to 1ish
3)bleed rads
4)recheck water pressure and adjust filler valve
5) repeat 3 and 4 as required
6) turn on boiler

Thanks for help naw.

Is it necessary to bleed the pump or is this a wasted exercise is unvented systems :?:
