Hello guys

I had to repair a wall larger than the area of the radiator, so I have lost the mounting holes for the brackets.

So, it seems some measurements needs to be done so the pipes can be accurately re-joined.

Can anyone offer any advice, please?.

Thank you.

Place a bracket onto the radiator, laying the rad face down on the floor.Measure the distance from the centre line of the radiators inlet port to the bottom of the bracket ( let's call that measurement X ).Draw a horizontal line on the wall, taken from the centre of the radiator valve inlet.
Whatever measurement X turns out to be is the distance up from the horizontal line to the bottom of the bracket.

As per terry but if the pipes come out of a floor board make sure they come out of the floor to the same height

If you are looking to use the existing pipe tails and valves then you'll need to measure the height to the centre line of the outlet of the valves rad valves, ensuring, as Gas112 mentions, they are at the same height out of the floor. That'll give the target height of the rads inlet centreline.

If there is any play in pipework therefore the height of the tails, then take a mid point of that height, that'll allow for a little flexibility of the finished mounting height of the rad.
