refitting pin in trv

I have a westhern trv which i was attempting to mend by shaking the pin up and down as the valve had become stuck. I accidentally pulled the pin out.

What's the proceure for re-fitting it?

If it won't just push in, new valve needed! Those are pretty poor valves imho.

whats the procedure for fitting a new one? do i just need to drain that particular radiator?

No.
CLose other valve, drain rad, and either use "bungs" or drain enough of CH to fit the new valve. Try Search.
