Reform in meltdown

Anyone, and I mean anyone, who is waiting for some sort of cure-all political party and/or movement is in for a VERY long wait. Are the current crop frequently pants when it comes to running the country? Yes. Would Reform be any better? I doubt it.

What we need to remember is this. Let's imagine our current socioeconomic sociopolitical systems were replaced with something that to all intents and purposes seemed like the ideal solution. And for a while it might indeed be.

It would only be a matter of time until said new system started to crumble in whatever way. Infighting. Power struggles. Corruption. Dodgy party members. Incompetence.

Ergo, back to square one.

The alternative to flawed unpopular democratic political parties is dictatorship, simple as that.

The UK desperately needs a new party, formed by people with common sense and a decent upbringing, who have the ability to be open and honest with the electorate
Reform are none of those things. (Edit: I’m not suggesting Murdochat is claiming Reform are those things)

They are the polar opposite of open and honest with the electorate.

They are right wing populists duping the public

The UK has a weak political system which allows the wealthy to lobby the govt in exchange for political influence. Both Conservatives and Labour do this

We also have a media owned by billionaires so they can manipulate the public.....its mostly right wing

Of course. It's one of Farage's vanity projects.

He set up a group appealing mostly to elderly RWRs and uneducated anti-foreigner extremists.

They have various different beliefs and objectives

The bad-tempered and argumentative people fall out with each other in bad-tempered and argumentative ways, when they find out that their beliefs and objectives are in conflict with each other

For example, "he had been reported to the police for alleged threats of physical violence against the party’s chair."

Then they break up and Farage moves on to another.

Or to working to improve the democratic process.

Which is a much better idea.

But might not seem so attractive, to the simple.

Essential to hear from the accused himself:

As far as I can tell, Rupert Lowe actually works hard as a constituency MP representing the people of Great Yarmouth and he makes an effort in Westminster to get involved in parliamentary business.

I personally fully disagree with with his Reform politics, but I give him full credit for doing his job and getting involved in the real day to day politics instead of just putting all his energy into getting media bandwidth.
