Reform lead the polls

Because we are neighbours and supposed to be allies. We are also ranked the 6th most militarily powerful nation in the world.

Europe has to step up, a few friendly gestures from our EU neighbours might help us lean the right way.

What other reason then?

I still help out in UK, but don't put myself through the aggro needed to go to Europe to do it

Small minded little Englander thinks it's better for us
Don't blame you. Travelling all that way, filling in all those forms, working your little socks off just to sometimes get your expenses covered. I wouldn’t.

You still aren't saying if you got stopped, fined or inspected. Sounds like any attention you had was to make sure it wasn't nicked.
You've never taken a trailer abroad with a vehicle on it have you

And when that trailer isn't yours and the vehicle isn't yours, and the van is a mobile workshop it raises questions.

It's not rocket science

I'm sure he gets to drive the car off the trailer.
Nope.

I get to do all the mucky and hard stuff against the clock.

And I enjoy it, and it helps the new guys get started. Experience helps.

I'm in a position where I don't need to work to survive. I only do the work I want, when I want.

It's called living and having fun. You and mottie should try it

I would imagine that most people are probably sick of doing their day job by the time they've put a full week in, so can't imagine doing the same thing as a hobby. That's probably why not everyone understands what you are doing.

the saying goes, if you enjoy your work you will never do a days work in your life. (or something like that).

But given we've had half a dozen pages of belly aching about the process, it's fairly clear that its more of a can't be bothered, than "nightmare". Plenty of club racers are reporting they are crossing just fine with their road legal cars, trailers and van and no carnet.

I didn't have any problems taking 60k worth of sailing kit to France in a borrowed van for a Regatta.
