Reform will stop the small boats within two weeks ...

As a youngster if you work hard you can still buy a house, my nephew is 22 he save hard for 4 years didn't go out drinking etc (much) and hes just bought his first house.

The problem is once you start renting its impossible to save.

A bit like flying the union flag then, soon you will have nothing that you do not feel guilty over.
I do not understand all this 'guilt' business. I've not had a mortgage since I turned 42 and I've never felt any guilt by paying my mortgage off. Since then, I've bought and sold by cash and again, never felt any guilt.

Ah, but surely the above is income dependent.

What I meant was, don't spend all of your income on rent. Rent by all means, but also save hard towards a mortgage with a decent deposit. Far too many pi$$ it up against a wall and then wonder why they can't save.
For most once the rent is paid theres nothing left, and thats with two people working full time....sad but true.

Maybe it varies then between different areas/regions. My tenants have to submit all combined incomes and if below a certain level, they will not be offered a tenancy.
I suppose once you have a family holiday and do a few other bits there ain't much left, but I suppose it can be done if you have a really tight 5 years...but that would be hard to do for most.

Over forty years ago: it has become a lot more unaffordable since then.
That's my point.

And this is the reason why Nigel and Reform will be elected at the next election. Bye Bye Starmer and thee rest of your spineless government.

True.
Nigel is a one trick pony.
His appeal is based on the belief that he will do what all the others hadn't got the balls to do and that is, stop the boats.

I think Nigel will find a way to stop the boats, which will be excellent as it's a visible and frustrating issue.

More concerned about them being able to stop the illegals arriving on flights, the students staying on, the family members arriving here to have a baby.

Depends what you are looking for...

You'll probably find that a high percentage (if not the majority) of staff are immigrants or of immigrant descent...

Where would the NHS be without them?
