Can someone please point me to the reg that states that those oversink water boiler things need to be hard wired into an fcu. Found 1 at work today that was just wired into a 1363 plug. Need to point the particular reg out to my boss, but now I come to look, I can't find the reg.
TIA, TS.

Does this reg mean both immersed and uninsulated? At the end of the day what I envisage is just a glorified kettle.

This reg covers immersed and uninsulated, but not electrode water heaters. Not quite sure of the definitions of each type, so if someone knows please share it with us all.

yes, after reading the relevant regs, I too am confused by the definitions, but didn't like to say so

I though all appliances fixed to the building structure in some way had to be wired via FCU's but I could be wrong and my bibles not to hand

Just looking at GN1 and GN2 re water heaters, GN2 refers to 554-05 as being a water heater or boiler having an uninsulated heating element. The mind boggles
