REGISTERED OR WONDER COURSE?

Is it true plumbers and kitchen fitters can pay around 1500 pound for a 5 day wonder course than enables them to issue certs to building control?
Does this mean the do not have to pay the yearly subs to trade body? or is the course just entitle them to register as a compenent person?

The course is just a minimum requirement to register with a scheme. The course on its own doesn't affect how you notify things

If it was a way to bypass the scheme then we would all be doing it

Thats what i was thinking ...why would i pay 500 annually . if i could pay one off payment of 1500 !!
