Section 701 of BS7671:2008 contains the regulations that apply purely to bathrooms, and includes things such as the zones and the equipment that may be installed within them, that isn't to say that the rest of the regs do not apply to bathrooms though, and you need a thorough knowledge of them all before you carry out any work, anywhere.

Any recent work will be noticed and the seller will be expected to provide paperwork for electrics or gas stuff done.
No paperwork = seller chasing up contractor, or paying for additional gas / electrical inspections.
