I am after a regulator for my gas torch for plumbing. Its to fit a 4.5 kg butane (blue) calor gas bottle. Got one today, but its crap the flame is no way near big enough, then looked at the regulator its rated at 29 mbar or 1.0kg/hour. Its not adjustable either.

This is what I got:

It came from a camping shop and I think its probabily only suitable for a cooking stove or something. What size regulator should I be looking for and anyone know where I can get one?! Thanks. Chris

It is usual to use propane for a blow torch with a high pressure / adjustable regulator.

You have a low pressure regulator which will not give a fierce flame.

Look in the BES Catalogue you would do better getting an Orange Propane Cylinder ! ;)

Wrong regulator it just wont work.

Butane blue for summer use, Propane red for all year round use.

These people can sort it for you a good Calor center will also be able to help.
