Hi there,

I have a Rehema Avanta 18 heat-only condensing boiler in a traditional heat and hot water tank setup. I’ve searched the manuals for a way to turn off the condensing controls and run it solely based on flow temperature, but I haven't found a solution.

My issue is that the boiler shuts off when the return temperature is 10 degrees below the flow setting, which means it only runs for about 2 minutes before turning off. As a result, it takes around 6 hours to get the radiators hot. I usually start the heating at 5 AM so that it’s warmed up by 9 AM.

Over the past 5 years, I’ve tried various settings but always end up with the same problem, forcing me to start the heating early. This year, I’m considering changing some physical control components to eliminate the condensing override.

I’m hoping someone with experience in the Rehema Avanta can offer advice on where to look for a solution. Are there any hidden engineer codes that would allow me to switch the boiler to a traditional flow temperature control?

Thanks in advance!

I don’t think condensate would cause your heating not to work when it reaches temperature, sounds like a different issue, such as a bypass valve.
