went to view a property today, appreciate i should have taken a pic with the fuse box actually open however from pic i 'did' take, does it look at though the wiring in the property is at least new(ish) i.e. not in need of re-wiring any time soon?

Everything on display in that box looks fairly modern.

However that doesn't nessacerally mean there isn't life-expired equipment elsewhere. It also doesn't nessacerally mean there aren't dangerous bodges.

Because it's unusual to fit a kitchen cupboard on an outside wall.

it's a scottish power notice. can't read what it actually says but the date at the bottom is 2011. do you think it's a notice essentially saying 'all okay'?

That board is knocking on for ≥20 years old. The cutout looks more modern.

A photo with the cover off or of a few sockets and switches would help us date the installation more accurately.

It's unlikely Scottish power would have any involvement with your installation post meter, and even if they had inspected it the sticker would merely say when the inspection took place, and not the outcome.

Agreed on the age, very early 90s I'd say for that board

However, not many merlin type A boards got used domestically, so looks somewhat over engineered, perhaps a sparkie's own place at one time
